Dot NAME Domain Names

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain name extension is the sole TLD intended for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are known by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were allowed, so if you desired to purchase john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already grabbed third-level domain names remained running.

Through our company, you can register your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular regulations on who can book a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the concept behind its establishment alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
